The Starting Line: Your Guide to Goal-Getting Success

If you've stumbled upon this blog post, it's likely because you're standing at the starting line of an exciting new journey, ready to set and achieve your goals. And trust me; you're in the right place. We all know that setting goals is the easy part, but making those dreams a reality? That's where the challenge lies.

For me, writing this blog post is the starting line for a goal I’ve set for myself and our Goal Getters Global community to help as many people as possible to realize their own dreams and achieve their biggest goals in life. This mission is not new to me, but since founding Goal Getters Global in April of 2022, I’ve wanted to share some of my thoughts, wisdom, and experience in goal getting with others in a variety of ways, including a blog. I hope you find something here that moves you, motivates you, and prompts you to focus on those dreams and goals that continually linger in your mind, but never come to fruition.

On this day in January 2017, I was casting a vision for myself and the goal of running this epic and historic road race. The Boston Marathon began in 1897 and the starting line was moved from Ashland to Hopkinton in 1924. (There’s some fun trivia for you!)

For those of you who may be new to my story, let me reintroduce myself. Since 2012, I've been on an incredible journey of personal development, which ultimately became the foundation for a marathon of success in my life, both my personally and professionally. God has not only given me a heart that wants to do more, be more, love more, and serve more. He has also given me much grace and the courage to do hard things.

For more than a decade now, I've achieved things I never thought possible back in 2012. I've authored my first book, "Lessons from the Finish Line," and co-authored a second one titled "Women Who Rock." I took on the monumental 12 in 12 Race Challenge, ultimately completing thirteen races (half or full marathons) in just twelve consecutive months. And, the pinnacle of my athletic aspirations, I realized my "BHAG" (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) of running the Boston Marathon, not just once, but three times.

Our family has enjoyed traveling the United States full-time since 2018 as a result of a goal I wrote down in 2012. I’ve even realized the dream of speaking on stages in various states and countries to share and support the mission of “The Kindness Revolution”.

But here's the most exciting part: along the way, I've discovered a tried-and-true four-pillar process for achieving any kind of goal. Whether it's related to fitness, finances, faith, fundraising, or any other area of life, this process works wonders. And now, my mission is to share this knowledge and help you do what I've been doing - turning dreams into reality.

Starting lines can be scary, exciting, inspiring, intimidating … but they only last for a short while before the race actually begins. That’s when the “rubber meets the road” and the FUN follows!

As we approach the dawn of 2024, I'm dedicating the next two months to help you prepare for your own goal-getting journey. Together, we'll tackle the common obstacles that hold you back, banish those doubts that keep you awake at night, and provide you with the accountability and focus you need to succeed. On top of that, you’ll have the support and encouragement of our Goal Getters Global community, a group of like-minded people who cheer each other on and celebrate just as loudly for others as they do themselves.

If you're tired of setting goals that never seem to materialize, worried about what others will say, or discouraged by the process, I'm here to tell you that it's time for a change. If you're afraid of failure or even the unexpected fear of success, rest assured, it's a thing, but you can overcome it. And if you're easily distracted and unable to achieve your goals, we have the solutions you've been searching for.

The journey to goal-getting success begins right here, right now. So, join our vibrant community, where we celebrate each other's achievements and provide unwavering support on this incredible adventure.
